This top floor hidden proverb is a great room to enjoy food, drinks and great jazz. The menu is a limited version of what Rock 'N'Ravioli serves below, but it's safe delicious. Try the meatballs and Gravy for a real treat. An impressive list of special cocktails are available that are dynamite, and there are beer on tap and through the bottle. The most impressive is the service of the employees incredible. This place... View all feedback.
What Keely Metz doesn't like about Bourbon 'n Brass Speakeasy:
This is NOT a bar for people who know anything about bourbon. Best quality was Old Forester. One bottle of regular Buffalo Trace that bartender couldn't find. But we really liked the band. View all feedback.
This is one of Evanston's secret gems. The food is somewhat limited, only really Italian. But many great entertainment, I love the Speakeasy room where you can relax, listen to a live band and enjoy a great drink or two. Even the waiting staff is dressed in time outfits. If you want to dance at night or relax to calm music, live all and a wonderful staff, that is the place. In any case, consider here for after dinner drinks or a late evening cocktail after the movies.
I arrived to the venue and was told by the host to take the stairs to the 2nd floor. When I got to the top of the stairs the secret door magically opened! The décor in the speakeasy was so interesting. We felt like we were discovering new things as we walked around the room. The night we were there a 3 piece band was on the stage on one end. The bartenders were attentive and warm. Will definitely be back. Want to check out the restaurant downstairs too!
Great live jazz music, the musicians are very professional, Joe Valentino is doing a great job with his band's. Will recommend this place to anyone, enjoy the service and appreciate the live music , great venue, cool atmosphere ,way to go, thanks
Very cute, stylish place for drinks! Love that it is hidden and a fin and exciting gem of Evanston! They have pleasant bar tenders and servers, delish food and fun and different cocktails!
Incredible the food is amazing and the bar is impressive. The ambiance really was that of a 1910-30s speak easy. The alcohol was amazing and too shelf and the bar tenders helpful and friendly. Will 110% be coming back!
