Reopened under new ownership, this neighborhood Chinese spot pairs quick, friendly service and a cozy dining room with wildly inconsistent cuisine. Patrons praise the relaxed atmosphere and occasional standout dishes, but many report bland or overly sauced entrees, greasy textures, flavorless egg rolls, soggy or leaking takeout containers and order mix-ups. Management addresses complaints, yet value and consistency remain concerns. Good for casual, speedy meals if you prioritize ambiance, but temper expectations for reliable, authentic flavors.

I actually wanted the Asian city to have the same food as Egg Roll Express. Unfortunately, it's not good at all. ERE had the best egg rolls ever and the current are rough! I ordered general Tso chicken and every nugget of meat was a very small piece of chicken with about 5 times or more so much bread. Super disappointed. I'll never go again

I ordered from this restaurant about a week ago, mistakenly thinking it was still Eggroll Express. We ordered a large hot and sour soup but received a small egg drop soup instead. The sweet and sour chicken was a disaster; it leaked through the bottom of the Styrofoam container and ended up in the bottom of the bag (though that turned out to be the best place for it, as it wasn't good at all). Both the lo mein and the fried rice were inedible. The crab rangoon was just mediocre at best. We spent over $60 on this meal. When I called and spoke with the manager to express my concerns, I learned that it was a completely new restaurant with new owners. They offered me a free soup, but I have no intention of returning. I definitely wouldn't recommend dining here; your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Not sure how this place has over 4 stars. I 'd give it negative if possible. Also funny to see 5 star reviews with no comments.....can you say posted by the owner or friends of the restaurant? I 'll never eat at this place again. Worst $80+ I 've ever spent on food. I actually considered asking for my money back, but I just cut my losses and left. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place and if you don 't, then don 't say you weren 't warned.

I can't speak on the authenticity of Chinese food since I've never been to China but as far as a comparison of American Chinese food restaurants this one is at the bottom of my experiences. Service was fast and the staff is friendly. But it's not Egg RollExpress as others have stated. I'm not sure if the owners are new or if it's a rebranding but the food was very greasy and justwasn't as appealing as ERE. They don't serve a chicken wing with the combo either. Now I have to find another Chineserestaurant.

If I could give zero stars I would! This new restaurant is awful, I ordered the orange chicken lunch special and it tasted nothing like orange chicken. No orange flavor, just sauce. The rice was full of soy sauce and the eggroll had no flavor at all.It left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not go back to waist my time or money. (NEW BUSINESS WITH NEW OWNERS. ????EggrollExpress is gone! For more than 25 years it was my go to for Chinese food. I'm sadden but I understand the importance of change.
