Highly recommend, know it is a bit costly. We had a brand new server so service was slow. I would not recommend placing the 6 top we were sorted at, facing the kitchen entrance, does not enhance the ambiance. We tried to order a cocktail and the hostess said no one knew if the bar tender was coming in , that makes for very poor customer service. This restaurant had excellent food, but they really need to work on whether or not their diners have an exceptional experience. They need to up their game, it would be a shame for this restaurant to fail, because all of their flaws are very fixable!

The beans were among the best I have ever had in a restaurant. The menu is huge. As we looked around the restaurant other diners seem to have favorites and enjoy them greatly. It looked like a good representation of the whole menu. Our own dishes made it clear that the kitchen is fully capable of producing excellent food, very well prepared. The dining room is simple and modestly furnished. But certainly clean and presentable. Paintings on the wall were excellent and appear to be the work of local artists. Recommended.

Outside seems unassuming, but once inside, you will be seated in a lovely dining area. The menu is so special, in variants of dishes suited for nearly all pallets. Vegetarian, dim sum, beautifully curated authentic Cantonese dishes. Came in with a craving for rice noodles, ordered the brisket and tendon rice noodles dish and it is exceptional. The mushroom buns were out of this world, we are usually steamed pork bun types, but glad we tried something new. The owner gave us a suggestion to pan heat the buns, thus elevating the dish even more. The shumai is chefs kiss so good. Their in house made sauce the XO sauce with a bit of vinegar, home made chili oil. Just wow. We are visiting from out of the area and have spent time in Lane county here and there the past few years. This visit solidified it for us. This is our favorite Chinese Cantonese restaurant. Not your typical orange chicken, etc etc. so if that's what you are looking for, perhaps try somewhere else. But if you want your taste buds to explode I urge you to try this place. The service is top notch everyone is so kind. I will be thinking about this place and recommending to anyone passing through the area,until we are back in the county and able to enjoy it again. Thank you Spice and Steam!
