One of my side didn't even arrive until until I had finish... read more Lovely looking restaurant. Wasn't very busy when we ate. My steak was warm my partners was very nice. One of my side didn't even arrive until until I had finished my steak even though I was told it was coming when food was delivered and then had to ask again and still waited 15 minutes. Partner also rang 4 days before as it was my birthday and in the day to remind asking if they could do a surprise for me (I didn't know until we had left) and nothing even though they had told her they would. We had paid 165 quid which is a lot of money for us. But service was awful and didn't have prawns in stock either. Will defo not be returning. Much better places t9 visit in the area..

It 's good to see a place like this open in Epping, offering a modern British menu and there is definitely the market for a decent restaurant rather than the plethera of overpriced kebab places that pop up everywhere in Essex now. However, the food was just a bit 'Meh '...nothing was good, the steak at £36 (with no sides) was bland and poorly seasoned, the John Dory was ok, but poorly matched with padron peppers. My advice to the owners is to invest in hiring a top chef, people don 't mind paying good money if the food is good....it 's a nice venue, but I doubt I 'll come back again for the food.
