My Fiance and I were doing a sunrise hike on Mt Rainier and decided to pop here for breakfast. (As it states it is a restaurant). Breakfast option was a basic buffet style breakfast for 11 dollars a head. Stale bagels, cold, boiled eggs etc.Waitress was lovely to be fair. However when trying to pay, 4x of our bank cards were declined. We are Irish and live in Oregonand never have issues with our bank cards. Unfortunately they would not work, so the staff had to call the general manager andhanded him me the phone. Could it be that you have no money, or just a technical issue on our end he patronizingly askedme. Absolutely brazen to ask. We had to wait 5-10 minutes to come on site and rectify the clear technical issue. With basicallyno sincere apology, and swatting away my accusation of being unfair to question my finances. Embarrassing behavior bymanagement for severely subpar breakfast. Having worked in hospitality before this would immediately be comped if there wereissues. Perhaps times are tight at this restaurant .
So bad. Came here after a sunrise hike. It was 11 dollars for a buffet breakfast. The bagels, banana bread and muffins were all stale. Other options were, cold hard boiled eggs, apples, bannanas, yoghurts and one type of cereal. The coffee jug wasn 'tworking properly and burnt my hand. Then when trying to pay their machine wasn 't working, used various cards and they accused usof having no money. Eventually they reset their machine and lo and behold our cards worked but they wouldn 't let us leave for 15minutes before this was sorted. Maybe lunch is better but avoid like the plague for breakfast, feel like it shouldn 't even becalled a resteraunt. Id be pretty unhappy if this was the breakfast in a hotel I 'd payed to stay in.
Excellent Dining experience whether it's indoors or outdoors, service was friendly and relaxing, not rushed. The ambiance, well, you're in Mt Rainier National Parks doorsteps, trees and serenity, you can hear each other's conversation unlike manynoisy restaurants The food was prepared elegantly, like eye candy, and tasted very delicious I won't forget this placeas it was memorable for me
We were not offered options as to what came with our sandwiches. We all received old and stale potato chips. Waiter spilled beer all over my seat. He wiped the table with my napikin and never brought me a new one when i asked. The second beer he brought wasalso shaken. Lettuce had brown edges and was old. Tea was the size of corrado coffee... avoid at all cost unless you like tooverpay for bad and old food and horrible service.
