Located on the mountain, this small restaurant offers limited menu options and inconsistent food quality. While some praise standout dishes like the pork belly BLT and grilled cheese with tomato soup, others report long wait times, burnt burgers, and salty fries. Despite hardworking staff, service can feel inattentive during busy periods, and kitchen delays often result in cold or mediocre meals. Pricing is considered high for the experience, and the overall atmosphere may fall short for those seeking a quick, satisfying meal before returning to the slopes. It’s a mixed experience, best for those with limited alternatives nearby.

Terrible service, staff stands around talking to each other, and they don?t seem to care. Food was cold and will not be coming back. We ski Crystal MOUNTAIN MOST WEEKENDS but will not waste my money here.

I hope Rafters Smokehouse enhances the quality of their food to match the prices they charge; otherwise, they risk being known as an overpriced spot with disappointing offerings on their menu.

Rafters Smokehouse is pretty average overall. It fits well with the mountain vibe and apres ski scene, but the food is mostly mediocre. That said, their nachos are absolutely amazing—I’ve even snapped a bunch of photos to prove it. Aside from the standout nachos, the service leaves much to be desired, and the rest of the menu is just okay. On the bright side, it’s a great spot to enjoy some beers after skiing.

After a long day of exploring, we came to the Summit House and it's reputation delivered. The view was a spectacular place for a drink. Even better was the conversation and service from Mikayla. Mikayla offered plenty of regional insight and was super pleasant from word 1. She even took this photo for us! The weather was unbelievably clear and we couldn't ask for more.

"How can you expect customers to dine at your restaurant when the gondola ride to access it costs $58 per person? It’s simply too expensive."
