Quercus came highly recommended by our hosts Teresa and Richard at Quinta Maria. We weren't disappointed!We had two fish entrees and finished with the plantanes with chocolate ice cream (Oaxacan chocolate is a unequaled) and a mezcal. Chosen from an extensive list, the local wine was also a perfect complement. All of it was prepared exquisitely and tasted as good as it looked. We especially enjoyed the attention and conversation with the owner Federico. We will be back and so will our friends!

I hate you because I am dreaming of all of the amazing dishes that were put before us. First time visiting the G Valley. The six of us had an epic meal here due to the great service in a rustic, decadent setting. A great guy at one of the wineries recommended this spot and I will forever be grateful to this young lad. Folks, including the owner, greeted us at the door. Now THAT is a fantastic welcome! We felt so spoiled due to the excellent service. I hate that I am so far. If I was not in LA, I would go back every week!. I recommend that you eat anything the chef puts in front of you! For example, they serve a corn on the cob with the pork ribs that must be sprinkled with magic dust because it is the BEST piece of corn I have ever tasted. And don't even get me started on the octopus and tripas dish.....Ugghhhh! I can't stand it!......We will definitely be back the next time we are in Mexico.
