Nestled in the heart of Ennis, this pub boasts a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and a range of live music options. Patrons rave about the Lebanese chicken dish and generous portion sizes, while breakfast offerings receive high praise for presentation and flavor. However, inconsistent service and high drink prices have led some regulars to reconsider their visits. Nonetheless, the welcoming staff often go above and beyond to enhance the dining experience. With a mix of lively ambiance and delectable meals, this establishment remains a favorite for many, though not without its occasional mishaps. Overall, it's a pub worth exploring.

We visited this restaurant with our young children and were initially a bit concerned that it might not be family-friendly, but we were pleasantly surprised! We were warmly welcomed by a friendly waitress and enjoyed one of our favorite meals. The upper floor is lovely, and the joyful sounds of Irish music create a wonderful atmosphere. We hope to come back again soon! View all feedback.

While the food was delightful, the service left much to be desired. We encountered some regular patrons who, displaying hostility towards those of English descent, made us feel uncomfortable both verbally and physically. This unfortunate situation forced us to leave earlier than planned and prompted us to contact the local Garda. It's disheartening to witness such behavior still occurring, especially in a pub that seems to endorse it. I won't be returning here, and it has soured my impression of what appears to be a lovely town. In contrast, my experience at The Abbey was entirely positive, and I highly recommend that establishment.
We enjoyed the full Irish breakfast, and it was wonderful! The staff were polite and friendly. I searched for a window that overlooked the street since the rest of the pub was quite dim, but overall, it’s a beautiful pub.
I usually love this place—95% of the time, it’s great. However, I had one disappointing experience. I ordered a 15-year-old Redbreast whiskey and asked for just one ice cube, but the bartender dropped in three or four instead. To top it off, she asked me to pay in advance for my drink, which costs 13 euros, as if she didn’t think I could afford it. I’m a regular here, but this experience has left me reconsidering my visits. It felt like she was more focused on chatting with her friends at the other end of the bar than on serving customers.
Best pub we visited in Ennis - Daniel was amazing! We’ll have a pint ready for you at the Sons of Erin when you come across the pond!
