Contribute Feedback What Raul Frami likes about Japan Village:
It is unfair to compare Japan Village with a large restaurant. It is just a small family business in a corner of an inner west neighbourhood. The quality of the food increased considerably after my last visit a few years back. I really like the beef udon. View all feedback.
What Roger Dreyer doesn't like about Japan Village:
We ordered online for Japan Village. It was reasonably fast. The price was quite normal for a Japanese restaurant. The taste was more on the okay side.
Out of the dishes that we ordered, I'd pick the Salmon Teriyaki Don as the better one for the day.

Ordered Chicken Teriyaki and it really isn't that great. Not much flavour to the whole dish. Only have 3 leaves of salad ...6 to 7 thinly slices chicken breast and a load of rice. I could think of so many other better japanese places with the same price. dang. was genuinely excited for this cus with 3.6 star...i didn't think it's that bad, but came out thinking it's 1.5 star or less.
Possible one of the worst Japanese places I visited. I did not know that Spring rolls were Japanese. The rice was certainly not the Japanese variety. Overpriced and not very delicious at all. Too much ginger in all false places. Go here if you want to be deceived how to taste real Japanese food. Definitely not so. It is obvious that the chef is not caring for the food.
Consistently great Japanese food from a stand menu of bento box, pasta and sushi rolls. Nothing terribly remarkable, but cheap cheerful and beyond.
Friendly staff. Affordable prices. Traditional Japanese food. We visited this unsuspecting restaurant for the first time today. It's so easy to go past the past, but the eye upright! The staff was so friendly and accommodating - we not only felt like customers in a business, instead I felt like a guest. The food was made fresh and was the best I've ever tasted. I was interested in an unusual drink in the fridge (a lemonade with a glass ball in the bottle), and another staff member recommended it and taught me the special way to open it. When lemonade splatters everywhere on the table, the staff laughed with us before I cleaned my chaos. 5 small meals and a drink costs $ 24.50 - I'm sure again.
Family friendly can not go wrong Japanese food. Staff friendly and accommodating. Instead of Nigri Bat after grilled salmon. No objections. Grief Grilled salmon was juicy and soft. Grief Grief Chicken Katsu was nice and came with side dishes. See image.
