The restaurant was half empty, we were only 3, but we waited about 45 minutes for our main meal, then another 20 minutes for 1 dessert (the others had given up bu then)We ordered a cheese fondue, and it was very very bland. We have had some real good ones in Switzerland and our expectation were quite hight this is the worst we have had!

Cosy yet modern ambience, very friendly attentive service. Menu is typical Swiss, just a couple of vegetarian options and a wide choice of kids meals. Food well cooked and generous portions, well presented.

Happy to finally get a table without reservation on a Saturday evening we ordered soup, main dish and desert. Everything was very good. I can recommend this restaurant.

(Original) Came here for the Fondue, was not let down. Perfect balance of cheese and white wine served with mixed veggies in vinegar, whole potato's and bread. Staff are very friendly, have great English (English menus too) and it's even Pet Friendly!

We were there for a little snack at lunchtime. Although it wasn't very busy, Ciryl served us excellently. The Urchig only opens in the evening. But you could have a small excerpt from the menu in the Bistro Bar. The tartare was really good. What we were missing was soup, especially in winter. For the In my opinion, the ambience was much too bright. It wasn't that comfortable because it was really bright because of the lamps. But we'll be back.

The service was friendly but the food was really awful. If you’re staying at H+ during restaurant closures, I recommend going to eat at partner restaurant Al Monestero. They had much better food and an overall more enjoyable experience.

Very expencive junk food. Ordered veal and gnocci, god deep fried veal (or was it- impossible to taste the veal) and fries. Food was served within a couple of minutes, so I guess everthing had just been thrown i the deep fryer.

Visiting Engelberg and called ahead to reserve a table for four, with specific request to eat fondue. With Michelin ratings and decent reviews, I thought this would be a great experience for my family. The hostess assured me and even asked for my phone number to call if there were concerns. We arrived, were seated, and upon taking our order were told that there isn’t enough fondue available for our table of four. The waiter was not concerned and didn’t apologize until I asked to speak to the manager ... at which time he informed me that ‘he’ was the manager. If you are visiting Engelberg, go elsewhere.

Place is okay, but refuses to accept FOPH or covid certificate due to lack of knowledge with the staff.

We come to Engelberg or times a year. Never had a bad meal or service at Urchig.
