Ordered veal and gnocci, god deep fried veal (or was it- impossible to taste the veal) and fries. Food was served within a couple of minutes, so I guess everthing had just been thrown i the deep fryer.

With Michelin ratings and decent reviews, I thought this w... read more Visiting Engelberg and called ahead to reserve a table for four, with specific request to eat fondue. With Michelin ratings and decent reviews, I thought this would be a great experience for my family. The hostess assured me and even asked for my phone number to call if there were concerns. We arrived, were seated, and upon taking our order were told that there isn’t enough fondue available for our table of four. The waiter was not concerned and didn’t apologize until I asked to speak to the manager ... at which time he informed me that ‘he’ was the manager. If you are visiting Engelberg, go elsewhere.
