Contribute FeedbackCapital offers a culinary journey that waxes and wanes in quality. While some patrons laud the generous portions and friendly service, others recount experiences marred by miscommunication and unsatisfactory meals. Complaints about burnt takeout, poorly cooked dishes, and rude staff contrast sharply with glowing reviews highlighting the restaurant's vibrant atmosphere and fresh food. Many appreciate the attentive service and cleanliness of the establishment, suggesting that it has potential as a favored dining spot. Ultimately, Capital's inconsistency raises questions about reliability, making it a place where experiences can vary dramatically.
I ordered iskender and mixed appetizers at this restaurant. The meat in the iskender dish was bland and required a lot of chewing. It was thick and tough, unlike the usual thin slices. The tomato sauce lacked flavor, and instead of the traditional yogurt, they poured all the meat and sauce on top of it, making it messy to eat. The mixed appetizers included 6 different dishes, but we couldn't choose what to order as the chef decided for us. They served the soup and lahmacun simultaneously, despite our request for the soup to come first. We also asked for a side of chips, which never arrived at our table, but we were still charged for it. To top it off, they added a service charge of 15 pounds, which we found excessive. The restaurant was crowded, with tables placed too close together. Overall, I found this restaurant overrated compared to Diyarbakir restaurant, and I do not plan on returning.
Everything was excellent. Chef Seyhan created amazing dishes. Thank you.
Located on Fore Street in Edmonton, Capital Restaurant offers a truly enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the decor to the service, with customer satisfaction being a top priority. The food is outstanding, with each dish showcasing the finest examples of authentic Turkish cuisine. Whether it's kebabs, appetizers, or desserts, everything is fresh and meticulously prepared. I highly recommend trying the lamb shish kebab and Adana kebab - every bite is a burst of flavor. The service is impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff always on hand to cater to your needs. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service provided. Capital Restaurant deserves five stars for its delicious cuisine, excellent service, and inviting ambiance. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Turkish cuisine.
