The dishes are prepared with great attention to detail and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and cozy, which contributes to the enjoyment of the meal. The overnight stay at the Hotel Moosegg was also fantastic. The room was spacious and clean with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel facilities were first class. Overall, our stay at the Moosegg Restaurant and Hotel was a memorable one and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience. We will come back in any case! We stopped for a mid afternoon snack and cooling drink on the hottest of days and, whilst it was not a cheap pitstop, it was worth it just to sit on the terrace... read more We stopped for a mid afternoon snack and cooling drink on the hottest of days and, whilst it was not a cheap pitstop, it was worth it just to sit on the terrace with a cooling breeze and soak up that wonderful view of the snowy mountains of the Berner Oberland in the distance, and the gently rolling and wooded Emmental in the foreground beautiful and peaceful. Our waiter was friendly and we enjoyed the sharing platter of meats cheeses, along with some salads and a delicious coffee ice cream. We would happily return another time.

I had the chance to stay in... read more I’m writing these words siting on the hotel terrace, checkout done, but wanting to contemplate the view with a coffee one more time. I had the chance to stay in a few renown hotels but few left me a strong sense of wanting to stay. Not only the scenery is postcard heaven but this hotel hits different. We were ten guys for a birthday. It doesn’t look like much when you arrive, even a bit impersonal at first. The rooms lack personality but all feels clean and neat. You get a drink in the wine cellar before dinner and you wonder how this hidden place has such a good selection ! You then have dinner and the quality of the dishes has nothing to envy from top restaurants in major cities. We finished the evening by the fire place outside. We were not the quietest clients because we were having such a good time and the staff remained friendly and professional. You go to bed in a surprisingly comfortable one thinking of how this place will look like in the morning you can check the picture attached now. I want to come back I will come back.

Despite a lot of mental work, I had relaxing days and nights in the beautiful, quiet area. The journey by car was easy and there is free parking. You could also travel by post bus, but you have to allow some time for public transport. The staff is very friendly and understands their subject extremely well. The cuisine is amazing but so are the prices. I can only recommend the hotel. After a week I felt relaxed and went home with a little more weight. Thanks again to the whole Moosegg team. Nearby activities: Hotel Moosegg is located in a beautiful hiking area. Good paths for hikers and bikers, and of course also for families with children. Food drinks: The food from the Moosegg kitchen is incredibly good. I have rarely eaten such well-balanced and presented dishes. For wine lovers there is a huge selection of wines from all over the world. However, you should have the financial means. It's not exactly cheap. Nevertheless, I recommend visiting the hotel and enjoying the delicious food.
