Luv a Coffee - Emerald

My wife and I enjoyed a nice coffee and hot chocolate at this small coffee shop. Very nice. I enjoyed the nice fresh scone jam and cream. Very fresh.

By far the best coffee shop in Emerald. Huge meals, always fresh and tasting fantastic with great service.

The steak sandwich at Luv a Coffee is one of the best I have ever had. Lashings of superb fries to go with it. The chocolate thickshake is a great drink to wash it down with.

Yes, I'm a big city coffee snob. But when travelling in regional places I am more than happy to expect something less that Seven Seeds. I had had no great expectations of Emerald. And generally this lower expectation has been met, but sometimes not met, and rarely exceeded. Staying at the Emerald Executive Apartments, which is in fact located in a shopping mall car park, I did not expect the best coffee in town to come from a shop located in the mall. But the strangely named, Luv-a-Coffee, was a pleasant surprise. Opened from 7am every day it has, as far as I can tell, having now tasted coffee from just about every place in town, makes the best coffee in town. I also ordered poached eggs on toast, which came perfectly cooked on Turkish bread, crisply toasted. Simple, but perfect eggs, trump everything! So, forget the main street cafes, and head to the mall for Emerald's best coffee -- and breakfast!
