My husband ordered the Denver omelette, while I chose the build-your-own s... read more I hadn't been to a Denny's in years, and I was pleasantly surprised by my meal today! My husband ordered the Denver omelette, while I chose the build-your-own slam. The omelette was delicious, featuring expertly grilled onions both inside and on top. The hash browns were buttery and perfectly crispy. Our server, Shirlene, was friendly and attentive, and she brought our food out in no time. The next time we stop in Ely, we'll definitely stay at the Hotel Nevada and enjoy breakfast at this Denny's. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the smoky smell in the restaurant. Since it's connected to the Hotel Nevada's gambling hall, some smoke tends to drift in. They do their best to mitigate the smell with air purifiers, but I have a sensitive nose, and I started sneezing towards the end of my meal.

The food was decent, rated at a 3, but the service was lacking, scoring only a 1. Additionally, the atmosphere was also uninviting, receiving a rating of 1.

It took at least 20 minutes to be seated..there was a family before us, telling me they been waiting for a long time,too..it was just the family and my husband... read more It took at least 20 minutes to be seated..there was a family before us, telling me they been waiting for a long time,too..it was just the family and my husband and I. The Hostess and the waitress, keep walking back and forth. Without knowledge any of us,till the family ahead of us finally said something ..then we were finally seated. It took 50 mins or more to get ourbreakfast..Without any apology for the long wait...I understand they were busy and probably short staff. But at least they couldhave apologized for the long wait.

She has a heart of gold, and makes me feel like family. She makes my Denny's experience amazing and fun. The food isalso very good, I love how you get to have breakfast for lunch or dinner. I also like that you can have what ever you want whenyou want it.
