Was Anonym at El Suquet De Torrellano a mag?
Today we have been having four friends there, the treatment of 10 bartenders and the delicious food, we let ourselves be advised by the waitress and it was a great success, very rich everything. We will be back soon. View all feedback.
We arrived at 9.15pm and we were the only diners. The reception was pleasant, however the food wasn’t. I had the sepia a la plancha.....rubbish! I followed with the solomillo......tough as old boots!! In all my life,I’ve never had a fillet steak tough!!! The wine was also over priced. My advice would be to look elsewhere ....
El Suquet was recommended by our hotel, Melia Alicante. We eventually found it and the waiter was very pleasant. We asked for the English Menu which they had. He recommended a choice of wine which was lovely and the Stir Fried Chicken with vegetables was superb. We went back on the Saturday. We had another waiter who could speak very good English. There was a waitress there who was not very attentive at all. We were trying to get her attention and she was constantly on her phone but nevertheless, it was a nice restaurant.
When you walk into a restaurant and are immediately welcomed it 's a good start. All the staff were dressed in the same shirts with the name of the restaurant on the collars. Always a good start. We stopped for lunch on the way to the airport and we choose well. Yes you need to speak Spanish but we are in Spain....!! 'Menu Del Dia two choices for each course both were delicious. Postres, we both had Flan which was home made and quality. Along with a good bottle of red wine and coffee the bill was €20, good value for what was a clean we 'll run restaurant. We will definitely return.
We had a good meal with oke service. Good locaties. Specially the seafood was oké. Andere That for a fair price.
No menu and no English speaking staff so a bit of a struggle to decide what to have. Quiet for a Saturday night but it was Easter weekend and so I expect most locals were away. We chose some tapas prawns and Spanish ham safe with those( read I understood gambas and jamon) from the rapid jumble of food options our waiter literally ran though. Followed by steak, fillet for me, medium as anything with the word rare in it in Spain often means uncooked. It was good not the best ever though. My partner decided to move from his choice of a beer on arrival, to wine and without a word of Spanish to his name asked for a Rioja. I was impressed until they brought a bottle of Muga to the table, which is one of the finest Riojas Spain has to offer. He did enjoy it! Fuelled by the wine he also had the obligatory ice cream with more cream and then drank the complimentary drink(s) offered with the bill. He was pretty much immune to the final bill after that. Before the bill arrived I taught him 4 more words of Spanish la cuenta por favour . Doubt I would return we stood out like sore thumbs but the decision to go there wasn 't a mistake.
