We stumbled upon this corner restaurant and initially came for the incredible donuts. Upon seeing the large drop biscuits on offer, we decided to give them a try. The hot chicken biscuit surpassed even the Nashville hot chicken I had previously tried at Hattie Mae’s in Nashville, where I had to wait for 2 hours. The donut batter is light and moist, but it's the quality of the ingredients that truly elevate these donuts. I also tried the food nuts and pumpkin cream cheese donuts, both of which were fantastic. I highly recommend this place!
This open-air restaurant allows you to watch the kitchen staff prepare your food or the barista brew your coffee. I asked if they could reheat my cappuccino, which I made at home without electricity after Hurricane Zeta. They were kind enough to do so, and I plan to return for dinner soon. The decor is very unique and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Outdoor dining is also available with sun umbrellas. I briefly met the owner, who runs the restaurant efficiently. They were one of the first to restore power and have implemented COVID safety measures for customers waiting in line.
