We had a wonderful family dinner at this restaurant. The food was amazing, especially the cakes. I haven't had a torte in years and this one was delicious (asparagus and mushroom). Everything was served hot, fresh, well-cooked, and with a smile by the staff. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Weir:
We have been here several times over a number of years. Tonight however placed at the wrong table, told there was no Merlot but apparently there was, the Rioja was fine though. Told coffees would be free as compensation of move. We were then asked...if we would like our starter and main together, odd? Food was fine. As we had finished our bottle I went to the bar and asked for two more glasses of Rioja, to be asked i... View all feedback.
This restaurant offers excellent value and high-quality, honest pub food. They have a diverse selection of beers and drinks to choose from. You can't go wrong with a pint at this pub!
We had a lovely one night stay prior to our visit to the Hampton Court Palace Flower Festival, and we're delighted with this lovely old hotel. The staff were so very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and we had a very comfortable night's sleep. Our room had a stunning view of the river and Weir.
Had a Christmas lunch here with my two daughters. We all agreed it was tge best Christmas dinner wed had out for a very long time. Delicious turkey, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, FRESH sprouts unheard of! , we thoroughly enjoyed it. My starter, which I was a bit dubious about, was delicious.I think it was bulgar wheat with edamame beans, dates and a lovely sauce. Prawn cocktail looked good too. The two young barmen/waiters were very polite and attentive thankyou both. We'll be back!
Lovely setting on the river. But Sunday lunch was poor.... Meat was tender but portion was small, cauliflower cheese hard no taste to sauce, carrots hard. Potatoes roast boiled 2 of each. A portion of peas swimming in gravy, i think trying to hide the small portion of meat. Finished with what I thought was a aunt bessy yorkshire pud.
Good food, brilliant location, especially in the summer as it’s by the river. We had 2 kids with us and a pram, the access could have been a little better for the pram. Other then that I would 100% return.
