Nestled within the Brooklands Museum, the Sunbeam Café offers a mixed dining experience for visitors. While the café's atmosphere is charming and family-friendly, complete with historical memorabilia, food quality can be inconsistent. Sandwiches often disappoint, and hot meals, served only during specific hours, may arrive cold due to lengthy wait times. However, patrons appreciate the friendly service, variety of choices, and adherence to safety protocols. With a selection of snacks, cakes, and drinks, the café serves as a convenient stop for light refreshments, making it suitable for a quick break amidst a day of exploration.

What DAVIDMS20050 dislikes about Sunbeam Cafe:
I wasn't expecting amazing food at a museum, but the sandwiches were disappointing. However, the cake and coffee were decent. The best part is the cooked meals from 12 to 2:30, but the long wait causes the food to get cold. This issue has been consistent for years and needs to be addressed. View all feedback.
The staff at this restaurant are friendly, and the presentation of the food is fresh and appealing. We ordered the chilli and rice, but we found that the dish was lukewarm and lacked flavor. Despite this, we enjoyed a cup of tea and shared a scone with jam and cream later in the afternoon, which we found to be much more satisfying.
The Sunbeam Cafe, situated in the charming Brooklands Clubhouse, offers a delightful spot for lunch or breakfast. With both indoor and outdoor seating options available, there is plenty of space to dine. The menu offers a good selection of dishes to choose from. I opted for a hot snack and thoroughly enjoyed the Cornish pasty. The cafe strictly adheres to Covid-19 regulations, with tables properly spaced out and contactless card payments only. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. Overall, a highly recommended dining experience.
We stopped by this restaurant while visiting the museum. They took all necessary Covid precautions with clean tables and a good system for seating guests. The food was straightforward but tasty, and we thought it was good value for the price.
Had lunch here, good variety of hot meals with vegetarian options. Sat outside in the sunshine; most pleasant!
