This is one of my favorite places in southwest London. The coffee is absolutely amazing, with a large selection of cakes including vegan options. They also offer baked goods and sandwiches. Sometimes I have to wait a bit longer for my coffee when it's busy, but it's definitely worth it. View all feedback.

Clapham can be a challenging location for a coffee house, with new cafes constantly opening up every couple of weeks. However, Black Lab has been a staple in the area and remains my favorite coffee shop in Clapham, possibly one of the best in London. The coffee is consistently excellent and the baristas are fantastic, deserving special recognition. The cafe itself is also very cozy. The only downside I have experienced recently is the quality of the pain au chocolat, which has been very dry and not particularly French or tasty. However, I love their coffee so much that I will continue to visit Black Lab.
Today I had lunch at a restaurant next to my bus stop because my bus was delayed. Alex and his colleague were both very friendly and nice. I tried the Spanish expat sandwich and it was the most delicious sandwich I've had in a while. The cakes all looked tempting, so I plan on going back to try them soon.
I was here a few hours. brilliant coffee, fantastic baristas, had my good repair of wifi here and just loved the general feeling. I have bought a bag for home and the barista really talked about getting a good one for what I needed.
This is one of my favourite coffee spots in Clapham Common! I've not had a chance to eat inside yet but this weekend I had lunch in their small area outside the front. I had the vegan toastie (hummus, avocado, sun blushed tomatoes and basil) which was so good! The sourdough was lovely and crunchy, and the flavours worked really well together, especially the tomato. But unfortunately it was the only vegan thing on their lunch menu. I was really happy to see that inside they had a good selection of vegan cakes and doughnuts (i think there were 4 to choose from), but I would really like to see another vegan lunch dish. That's why the review is 4 stars, rather than 5.
