Was sky white at Beander's a mag?
Ordered a rubin for take out as I was recommended by another local to try. Reuben was perfect and it's been a long time since I've had a perfect Ruben. The bread was correct the meat was perfect the toasting was just right. If I was local I would eat there for lunch every day. What Cam Matheny dislikes about Beander's:
While Beanders is a well established local watering hole, and in the past the food has been above average bar food, the past few visits have just not lived up to it's previous history. Although I rarely come here, I enjoy the atmosphere when I make it in. As far as food goes, I highly recommend the buffalo chicken diving - it is fantastic!

My husband and I stopped here for dinner (at 4:30) and a couple of drinks. We were told it was .50 wing night. A bartender took our drink order (and got it wrong) then the manager, a VERY uppity and condescending blonde woman took our food order. Weordered wings, well done, hot Buffalo and extra hot Buffalo, and were THEN told that the specials didn 't start until 5:00 sowe 'd have to pay full price. No problem. Our food came out eight soggy, rubbery wing dings in some sort of slimy barbequesauce. They had the taste and consistency of microwaved gas station wings. They were so bad we couldn 't even finish them (and wewere extremely hungry, having driven all day without stopping to eat). For two orders of the worst wings we 'd ever had, twococktails and a beer, our bill was over 40. Between the attitude and ambiance , the unrealistically high prices andunbelievably bad food, I 'd recommend stopping to scrape up roadkill for dinner before I 'd recommend Beander 's. Truly, trulyawful on every level.

Don't be fooled by the atmosphere or the wings. They call them Buffalo wings but trust me I've never left a 1 star review. The wings are some sort of barbecue and taste microwaved. The lady waiting on us treated us like trash and believe it or not had herown picture above the men's urinal. We aren't trash urinal lady and those aren't Buffalo wings. Travelers beware. Maybe it'sjust for locals.
