Food was excellent. Crepes, stuffed French toast, German apple pancakes and more. Caution: wait time for the order to come was long. We sat for an hour before getting our food.
Why this place lacks reviews boggles my mind. We left another cafe in Eagle (Hen House) where the service was incredibly poor. Their menu didn 't look all that appetizing either. We were seated by a very friendly waitress who commented on my Colorado hat and made good conversation. We didn 't even get past the today 's specials that she read off to us a breakfast dish of a prime rib skillet, and a pork tenderloin eggs Benedict with a Dijon mustard sauce. Sold. She promised she wouldn 't ditch us after we told her of our leaving the last place. Good food takes awhile to prepare, so be patient, but enjoy a mimosa or Bloody Mary while you wait. Both of our dishes were incredible. The potatoes were sliced and sautéed with perfect seasoning. I 'm glad I ran a 10k before coming here, but it wasn 't a ridiculous amount of food that makes you regret finishing it later. I 'd drive back from IL just to dine here.
Nice!. Went to Fiddlesticks for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place was very busy, but that generally means good food--and it was. The atmosphere is nice, it seemed a little dark in there for breakfast time, but I imagine they are more geared towards the supper crowd. I had the first item on the breakfast menu-two eggs, hash browns, toast. Everything came out hot and as I ordered it and it tasted great. I was afraid that the service would be lacking because there was only a hostess, and two people on the wait staff, but they did really well considering they had several large groups. The prices were a little more than greasy mom pop diner, but I would say it's well worth it. It's a few blocks off of hwy 12, so I'm grateful for UrbanSpoon or I never would have found it.
