Dds Wingz - Elberta
Dds Wingz
Description
This casual, takeout-focused spot earns praise for fresh, made-to-order wings, crispy fried okra and indulgent, layered bacon-cheese fries at very affordable prices. While some flavors and portions (notably small wings) are inconsistent and often salty, many customers love the crunch and value. Fast window/drive-thru service is common, but order accuracy, phone ordering and owner communication have reportedly faltered. Ideal for budget-conscious wing lovers seeking bold sides, but expect variability and bring patience.

Unlike many places that just throw a dollop of cheese on top, it felt like they layered the fries, cheese, and bacon perfectly—starting with a base of fries, then cheese and bacon, followed by another layer of fries topped with even more bacon and cheese, and finally drizzled with ranch. It was mouth-watering! The portion size was generous, and the price was fantastic—it's truly unbeatable! I will definitely be returning soon. Keep up the great work!

I'm not sure what changed, but I can confidently say I won't be returning. If you review my other feedback, you'll see that most of my reviews are positive and fair, having received over 8 million views. Unfortunately, it seems the staff at this restaurant could benefit from improving their attitude towards customers, as it felt like I was bothering them just by placing an order. Honestly, I've had much better service at the local McDonald's in Foley than I received here, and the owner's response to my feedback was anything but professional.
We ordered 30 wings and fried okra, but received only 20 wings and the okra. Although we were only charged for the 20 wings, we specifically ordered 30 for a reason. The okra was perfectly fried and quite tasty, though a bit salty. The wings, on the other hand, were small and only average in flavor—definitely salty. I could make better wings at home using my air fryer and my own homemade sauce. We decided to give this place a shot, but now I know I won’t be coming back. ADDENDUM: The "owner" responded to my review, and you can see her reply below. She pointed out that there are signs indicating that the food is cooked to order. However, she seems to have overlooked the part of my review where I mentioned placing my order 26 minutes before arriving. To me, “cooked to order” means they should start cooking it as soon as I place the order. Additionally, the wings were average at best—definitely on the salty side. The okra was good, fried to perfection, but again, too salty. With a little less salt, the okra could have been the best I've ever had. Finally, the hand-on-forehead emoji the "owner" used in her response perfectly represents the level of care given to customer service. Proceed with caution.
