Madison's Grill is situated within the boutique hotel Union Bank Inn, right in the heart of Downtown Edmonton. They are currently offering dine-in service, although it’s necessary to wear a face mask in certain areas of the restaurant, like the washrooms and lobby. I visited Madison’s Grill on a Sunday at 10 AM and found that no reservation was needed. They accommodate groups of up to six people. The brunch menu is small but enjoyable. I ordered the French toast for $14, which was both delicious and a generous portion. However, I think the brunch menu could benefit from more variety, especially for vegan and vegetarian options. Overall, Madison's Grill is a fantastic spot for a tasty meal!

The soup, a roasted tomato variety with a creamy topping, was so delicious that I might have licked the plate if it hadn't been such an upscale place. The pasta was simply exquisite, featuring mushrooms, chicken, and black truffle in a rich cream sauce. There were many satisfied sighs throughout the meal. To top it all off, we were served a delicious complimentary chocolate-covered cherry, clearly made in-house. The service was stellar, and the food was exceptional. I can't wait for the opportunity to dine in-house again!

She had an unfortunate accident, and they were very accommodating of her wheelchair.Our server, Michael, was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home right away. We started off with prosciutto wrapped garlic shrimp, and it was impressive. Nothing extraneous, just beautifully cooked shrimp. This was confident cooking at its finest.For our mains, I had the halibut, and she had the strip loin. Everything was very tasty indeed. If I was to quibble, and I might add these are very minor quibbles, my halibut was just the slightest bit overcooked, and I felt that everything could have benefitted from just a bit more salt. But seriously, I'm nitpicking here. Great job, Madison's! We will be back!

At 4:45 the next day, after checking into the hotel and packin... read more I booked my birthday dinner in this restaurant via open table on Friday, I was extremely excited. At 4:45 the next day, after checking into the hotel and packing attire appropriate for not walking outside in -25 weather (when not needed) as the he restaurant is attached to the hotel I get a call saying the are unsure how the booking was made and they could not honour it. While that was horrible enough the woman then put me on hold, disconnected the line and when I called back refused to talk to me because she had nothing else to say , I could also overhear her talking to others who reminded her I was in the line and could here her. The gentleman (graham) who did take the call and relayed her very unprofessional message offered to make me a reservation in another nearby restaurant, and followed up. He was or at least seemed sincerely sorry and sought out a solution. What I found amazing in all of this was the lack of care that my evening was ruined and the lack of professionallism by the woman making the calls. Not once did she offer a solution and ended up refusing to talk to me. This was my first time dining at this restaurant and it will be my last, I will be relaying this experience to my colleagues and friend.
