Even though I am not a fan of the cheese curds they do cook up a yummy tray of fries and gravy. They were located at the Wednesday Southwest market and I thought I would try their poutine out.

The best thing about the vegan poutine is that it doesn't taste like vegan food, it is flavorful and filling. I just wish I could get delivery to the SW of the city.

I couldn't throw my money at them quick enough. The food looked amazing and taste blew me away. I was completely full. If only we had it in The US. I would recommend any American try it. It was fantastic. Cheese curds, fries, gravy! What else good a guy want.

Our Canadian National dish is poutine. Every restaurant tries to make it in their establishment. Some are good, some are alright, some are awful. Everyone has a basic idea that poutine is gravy, cheese curds and fries.McDonald's has their merit. KFC's take was awful. NY Fries was quite close to the real deal until this place opened up.La Poutine was able to specialize and bring a genuine recipe to us, A BIG THANK YOU!!!You can choose the beef gravy or the vegan gravy. Both are dark in colour which is accurate to the real deal from the province of Quebec.Cheese Curds that melt with the heat of the gravy gives it the ooey gooey goodness we expect from this comfort food. And the straight cut, home style fries with skin on fried to a crisp makes an excellent combination. Today, I sampled their traditional poutine to remind me of Canada's past time and also tried their donair poutine.Off topic, donairs are a food item that is fighting to be Edmonton's official dish, however Halifax also wants to be the official founder as well. You can find donairs in Edmonton, Halifax and Calgary. But really no where else in Canada in its present form and variation. So to have Canada's national dish combined with Edmonton's donair ingredients, this is a little piece of regional Canadiana. Delicious!

On a snowy April day, we were in the area and opted for this place for lunch. A tiny venue with a few seats and a menu limited to Poutine (but many varieties), it has always been our go to. This day was no different. The Regular Traditional poutine did not disappoint. Fresh, hot and covered with Vegetarian gravy and squeaky cheese curds, we demolished it in no time. We shall return.

La Poutine offers a variety of traditional and vegan poutine options in a small, cozy venue. While some diners found the poutine underwhelming in taste and texture, others enjoyed the unique vegan offerings. The friendly staff and efficient service were highlighted, although prices were deemed a bit high by some. Overall, La Poutine seems to be a hotspot for poutine lovers looking for a quick and satisfying meal, whether dining in or taking out.

Nic fresh potatoes and toppings. Friendly service. Great place to go for a snack near the UAlberta main campus.Food: 5/5

Nice little place to get a good poutine. Note there is limited seating area, and in the summer there are some tables outside. For there are only a couple of tables and is a very cozy space. There are a number different variations to choose from and I feel they are all wonderful! There are also vegan and gluten free options as well, which makes it a nice place for folks with dietary concerns. The staff are always lovely and friendly and very helpful when it comes to trying to figure out the right poutine for you!Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.Parking: Difficult to find parking on a busy evening or weekday. But there's either free or paid street parking around the area.Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options, be sure to mention to the server for your options.

Absolutely delicious, fries are some of the best I’ve ever had and gravy and cheese hit the spot. Value is pretty decent too. Has become a regular spot for me to stuff my Canadian face.Food: 5/5

No bells and whistles here, you can walk right past the place it's so small and inconspicuous. I'm not an expert on Poutine but damn, the traditional was really, really good. Definitely the kind of place I'd come back to if I was visiting longerFood: 5/5

Excellent! The service was top-notch. I have a sensitivity to wheat but not celiac disease, and I had no problems at this restaurant.

Delicious poutine but I got glutened. I should have known when the lady at the till asked 2 times the cook if it was gluten free. Too bad. It was a long road home.

Torally gluten free restaurant. My go to for a quick bite in westend.

Very knowledgeable on GF options, its super clear written on the menu and it was delicious! the food came out very quickly and will buy again gf gravy packages for home!

Eat them here and ordered from here several times and never became sick. dedicated friteuse and very good poutine

This small and charming restaurant was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon while biking. The server was friendly and accommodating, and although there was no indoor seating available, we enjoyed sitting at one of the two picnic tables outside. We tried the taco poutine and found it tasty, prompting us to consider returning to sample other menu items in the future.

Parking can be difficult, so be prepared to search for a spot. The seating area is small but cozy. The service was friendly and efficient. It would be great if they offered smaller portions of non-traditional dishes to try. The prices were reasonable.

I ordered the regular Big Mac poutine and my daughter got the gluten-free taco poutine. We placed our order through Uber Eats. I appreciate the variety of choices and delicious options available. I enjoyed my meal, although I may opt for double meat next time as it seemed a bit lacking. Despite the great flavors, I did find the fries to be a bit soggy, but this could be due to the delivery method. I will definitely order from this restaurant again in the future.

The vegan poutine at this restaurant is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that they can make half of their menu vegan, which is quite unique for Edmonton. I would recommend this restaurant to any tourists in the area looking to try authentic Canadian cuisine.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today with some friends and we all really enjoyed it! We ordered both the traditional and the edgy veggie poutine. The fries were delicious and tasted fresh, and the cheese curds were also good, although a bit large for my preference. I ended up cutting them smaller. The gravy could have been a bit thicker, but it still had a good taste. I would love it if they added a pulled pork poutine to the menu! I will definitely be returning.

Omg AMAZING! Menu clearly marked with which versions can be made gluten free! The person taking our order walked me through how they prepare it in a separate area without me asking. He even warned me that my gluten free version would look the same as the regular version. Felt super safe eating here and it was so good!
