Contribute FeedbackLa Poutine offers a variety of traditional and vegan poutine options in a small, cozy venue. While some diners found the poutine underwhelming in taste and texture, others enjoyed the unique vegan offerings. The friendly staff and efficient service were highlighted, although prices were deemed a bit high by some. Overall, La Poutine seems to be a hotspot for poutine lovers looking for a quick and satisfying meal, whether dining in or taking out.
Every time I'm in Edmonton, La Poutine gets a visit. Still consistently the best available in the city with great individual elements and a great mix.Curds just melting but not mush.Chips covered in enough gravy but not too soggy.Gravy thick but not gloopy. This time it was The Supreme featuring sour cream, bacon and spring onions on top of the traditional poutine excellent. As always, service is fast and friendly and they just leave you to it. Good work!Love you, LP. X
I ordered large of the Big Mack today. I could clearly see the fries were old and not freshly made! There was very little curds on the Poutine! Too little amount of sesame seeds, almost half a tea spoon! The whole soggy and old look of the Big Mack and its poor quality shows it doesn't worth $13. There are other places you can have poutines, less pricey but a better quality.Mentioning the problem, maybe better to have a solution or why such low quality food items have recently been emerging from more and more places. Short answer might be there are not enough people supporting local businesses so they can not always offer fresh products. I have been in food business for several years and I can say when there is not enough customers the owners cannot cook/bake/prepare food in real time.Overall, I would still expect a better quality of the poutine since the ingredients are not expensive and there is a large gap with the price of the ingredients and the final product sold to the customers.
Parking is a pain. are they ready to circle around for a place. small place to snack, but cozy. service was nice and easy. I wish they could get smaller sizes of non-traditional to try them. the price was in order.
Excellent vegan poutine. they are able to make around half of their menu vegan, which I realized for edmonton is very special. would recommend any tourist who are in the opposite to taste authentic Canadian food.
Their menu is great with a lot of variety but they over fried my fries in the poutine once and it had a brunt taste hence.
