Its... read more This is the best hidden gem in the city for food and service. Everything about Haps is amazing the menu is very well rounded with a great selection of food. Its good food at a great price and the service is 100% fabulous from the hostess to all the waitresses I never have a complaint. The coffee is perfect and you can't go wrong with anything. Breakfast is great ,lunch menu great, burgers and more. If you like homemade soup they have the best. I just absolutely love it there and they have a lot of regular and repeat customers. Definitely a place to have a nice lunch/brunch with others. We came in for a late lunch and didn't realize they were close to closing. They never said anything or made us feel like an inconvenience. In fact, the waitress asked if we wanted anything else! This level of service, in a restaurant setting, is something you'll rarely find nowadays. The service alone is what will make me come back. I have never had any complaints when eating in, but was surprised to discover they charge an additional 15% for pick-up orders. This seemed like a steep surcharge to me, as I had never encountered this practice before. Out of principle, I decided to cancel my order.

I had the hot chicken sandwich. Real chicken and homestyle gravy. Canned peas and a fresh salad. My girl had the amazing French toast with bangers. The diner is right out of the seventies. But the food was 7th heaven. .
