What Victor N doesn't like about Furusato Japanese Restaurant:
Working in Edmonton and wanted to eat Japanese food. Found this place while driving so decided to try based partly on the name. Furusato means 'home town or country ' so I thought the owners may be Japanese. They weren 't. No offense to owners but was thinking they would have some home style dishes. Decor was a little tired and a mix of Japanese and other Asian. Service by our waitress was good. The food was what I w... View all feedback. What Panda Yummy Kirchheim Teck likes about Furusato Japanese Restaurant:
Best Japanese in the City. I have come here multiple times and I have enjoyed it every time. The food is quite good and the staff are very warm. I come here for the udon soup which is my favorite Japanese dish (I'd recommend the tempura udon). The downside is the food is quite expensive here. I know Japanese food is expensive in Edmonton but having to pay $15 for a bowl of udon is hard to swallow when its $2 in Japan... View all feedback.

read moreFurusato, a Japanese restaurant in Edmonton, has gone through changes in ownership in the past, affecting both the quality and popularity of the place. While some customers have noted a decline in food quality and service after the change, recent reviews are more optimistic. The current owners are working to bring back the old glory of Furusato, offering fresh and delicious sushi with attentive service. The menu has a wide variety of options, including non-fish dishes, with reasonable prices. Despite past inconsistencies, recent visits have left customers satisfied, with some even stating that Furusato is now the best sushi place in Edmonton. While some have encountered occasional issues with service timing, overall, the restaurant seems to be on the right track to regain its former reputation as a top Japanese dining spot in the city.
