El Mexican Express - Edmonton

This is a recently opened Mexican restaurant, only operating for a few months. They have limited hours from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

I absolutely love this Mexican fast food restaurant - it's my favorite spot in the Commerce Place food court.

There is a hidden gem in downtown Edmonton, located in the Commerce Court food court.

If you can find the Commerce Place food court El Mexican Express is amazing. They are quick, affordable and really tasty. It's a family run joint and they are hitting it out of the park.

Beans, rice and saucy meats -- I went once and I don't recall a tortilla being involved (but they do serve them). If you want a gordita or tacochanga -- keep on walking. This is good, filling, tasty Mexican eats like you get in places south of Texas. Not really more expensive than anything else in the same food court but has more authenticity and character than the western 'chinese' food to its left or the western 'japanese' noodles to its right.
