Feedback
Clementine, a top-rated restaurant in Canada, received mixed reviews. While some found the food and cocktails impressive, others were disappointed by the limited menu options and service. The ambiance was praised for its cozy atmosphere and excellent music. Despite some hiccups, patrons enjoyed the unique dining experience and are eager to return for another round of cocktails and dishes. Cocktails were highlighted as a standout feature, with mixologists receiving accolades for their skills and hospitality. The need for vegetarian options was noted as a suggestion for improvement to cater to a wider range of dietary preferences. In conclusion, Clementine remains a popular choice for patrons seeking a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience, with the potential for further growth and innovation.
Clementine has an interesting menu to say the least. Really interesting dishes. But holy **** is it good! The flavours are delicately balanced, but not delicate. Many of the flavours were quite rich.Portion sizes are small (the three of us shared three dishes, but we easily could've had another one or two. We ordered one more, but there was a mixup and it would've taken too long so we just left. The place is small, but has a hell of a lot of character. Can get noisy.
A friend took my wife and I for dinner to Bar Clementine. He'd been there before; we hadn't (I'd never even heard of it). We tried several cocktails. The winner, for me, was one my wife chose: The Apple. This is a mixture of vodka and apple juice and something called Becherovka (and I didn't have a clue what that was) and a couple of other ingredients. It was delicious. We also enjoyed the food. We started off with several small plates, including one with crispy and pickled potatoes which was a new experience for me (I'd never heard of pickled spuds!). Then we tried several bigger plates, including sea bream tartare and Moullard duck, which was served sliced with a soft duck egg and shitake and roasted leeks. All in all: a very good meal. And the young server had an almost encyclopedic knowledge of food and cocktails. She was very impressive, both in her knowledge and in the provision of good service. A very pleasant experience overall, and I think there's little doubt that we will be returning.
Popped in on a Saturday night. Very loud active room. So loud could not visit...cocktails are 14$. seemed steep to me, but if you are into the cocktail scene...not a lot to choose from, had one drink that had maybe an ounce and a half of liquor if that...I would not go back, but again, the cocktail scene is not my thing.
First off, the decor is perfect. It's very obvious that a lot of care went into the atmosphere of this bar. We enjoyed some unique cocktails and the servings of food are perfect to share or a couple would be a satisfying meal for one. The service was on point, but relaxed in a way that didn't make you feel rushed or intruded upon. We were pleasantly surprised by our bill at the end, as for the quality of food and drink we had expected it to be pricier. Would be a wonderful spot to bring a date, or for when you are in need of something a little different when you meet your friends for dinner. I'll be back for sure.
What a great venue! Wonderful service by Natasha and Mark and the food was outstanding. What a delight to see an establishment succeeding in late night service and cuisine. The oysters from Effin Seafoods were outstanding and the pork and duck entrees were perfectly executed with beautiful and succulent flavours. Thank you Clementine, we will be back!
