Looking For Chai
Description
Nestled in a bright, spacious shared kitchen, this Taiwanese spot serves affordable, comforting plates—bentos, popcorn chicken, pork chops, hot pots—and popular boba drinks, often generous and flavorful. Diners praise quick service, friendly staff, ample seating, late hours and convenient parking. Recently the menu and portion sizes have been pared down, and a few guests noted sticky tables, inconsistent service and overly sweet drinks. Despite those hiccups, signature buns and traditional staples keep it a worthwhile stop for casual meals and late-night treats.

We came in after eating at Wonton Noodle House and ordered 4 drinks. Service was super friendly, helpful and patient. I ordered the sweet taro latte with sago (subbed soy milk) with 0 sweetness and it is so sweet! Not in a bad way. Surprised by how good it is for being 0 sweetness since I've gotten 0 before and it's been gross.
This store is more than a tea store, they do serve the typical Yifang style teas and I like those, but it actually also is a taiwanese street food place, and the selection is pretty large. You can even get stinky tofu and bitter lemon dishes if you are into that.We had the fried pork chop, the pork sandwiches, and the shrimp and prawn tofu. Out of those we liked the pork sandwiches the best. For now I would suggest to do takeout rather than dining in, there is a weird smell in the store (mid-December 2022), which unfortunately takes away some from the dining experience.
My go to boba spot! The sweetness level is always perfect for me without adjusting anything. I love their aiyu jelly, it has a nice texture. The service is always fast and efficient. The shop is spacious and has multiple tables. They offer food, but I have not tried it yet. Parking is super easy, it's a private lot and easily accessible.
