Really excellent service on a very busy day. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good and the house wine accompanied the meal very well. Very good value for money. Ambience was very pleasant though one or two younger children were not as well behaved as they could have been but that is down to the parents. View all feedback.
What William Davies doesn't like about Zizzi - Edinburgh Leith:
expected better service as normally go to inverness zizzi and love it. the place wasnt what we expected as in wasnt enclosed like normal it felt very casual. also the waitress argued with us when we told her the starters were cold. she said she would take money off but when i paid the bill she didnt.will not visit there again. I shared a very pleasant dinner with my girlfriend. We had a starter, main and a cocktail. With our 40% discount student discount came the sum of £35 for the two of us, a great savings.
After we had waited for a while, as this was the case, we received a rather flamboyant and above the highest greeting. We received the menu peruse, but I must say at this point, unlike most places in these days, we were not immediately annoyed to order drinks as we had not decided what we eat to choose an acceptable drink to accompany the food. Then we put our orders for food and drink. The antipasti-sharing plate was a little bit sparse in view of the price of £4 rather than some other zizzi's and as for the Spiedini Pescatore there were no Sea Bream found and again better than other Zizzi's! The food was good, but the prices were not a good value for money. When the bill was presented, there was a pretty big mistake, as we had given some vouchers for billing the total price, but some 15% value were not entered. Overall not ideal and certainly not good.
Whenever I visit this restaurant, the food is always top-notch quality and the staff are incredibly attentive, accommodating, and kind.
My husband, daughter, and I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Our daughter, who is a vegetarian, particularly loved her goat cheese and caramelized onion pizza. I enjoyed the fish skewer, while my husband had the Crab Cannelloni, both of which were delicious. We also appreciated the view from our table by the window, overlooking the ships in the port, including the Royal Yacht Britannia.
I made a reservation at this restaurant through OpenTable, only to arrive and find out that it is closed!
