Reviews praise Gaia's coffee, daily specials, friendly family service and value; a few guests report occasional greasy or overcooked dishes and variable service.
This restaurant is a great spot for lunch, coffee, and pastries. We visited twice in two days while in Edinburgh. The daily specials are always changing, and they also have a variety of fresh produce for sale in-store.
I visited two days in a row. Friendly staff and great pasta specials every day. Oh, and great coffee!
Gaia is a charming spot perfect for a cozy lunch with your partner, family, or friends. The atmosphere exudes the essence of Italian hospitality with its warm staff, beautiful decor, and delicious food. The prices are very reasonable considering the high quality and generous portions. They also offer a delicious vegan option. I highly recommend Gaia, I give it a perfect 10 out of 10.

Behind the counter at Gaia you’ll sometimes find small jars and tins of the exact Sicilian ingredients used in that day's special — ask and the team will often sell you a packet or tell you where they sourced it, so you can try the flavour at home.
