I visited this restaurant for the first time the other day and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and it offered great value for money. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the Sunday roast! View all feedback.
What Rayan D doesn't like about The Phoenix Kitchen:
This isn't your typical trendy bar. It strikes a balance between a sports pub and a traditional brown pub. We visited for a burger and drink deal. Just a heads up, the burgers aren't homemade. However, they were... View all feedback.
We ate last night in the broughton and mine! what an experience! the place and the ambiente is beautiful, the service is fantastic and the eating was ineffective! Started with the isle of mull cheddar hash brown, which was simply delicious and then I had the bark that I did not want to finish! the feeders were so delicious and the bark meat was perfectly cooked. almost wept when it ended. our waiter was also so welcoming and friendly, I wish I had caught his name, but all the workers were great. highly recommended. only light critique were the cheese, the cracker and the chutney were really good, but we found the cheese were a bit bland (always still they ate, though thanks broughton! we will definitely be back. oh and we had a bottle of the malbec, the id also highly recommended
The Broughton was an excellent spot for dinner. We have been traveling across the UK and this was the beat experience we had at a restaurant. We were served by Josh, who was a phenomenal host and gave great recommendations. The smoked haddock was very good. Prices very fair. If you had one night to spend in Edinburgh, I recommend you eat here. Thank you Josh!
Great dishes, good atmosphere. Just be aware that there might be a break between 2 to 6pm when the kitchen is on break. But the staff were really nice to open up the kitchen for us during their break.
The service was excellent with friendly staff and an nice spacious environment to be in. They accommodated our celiac friend very well. The starters were very nice. Sadly they had sold out of the Beef roast at 4pm on Sunday despite serving till 6pm. Sunday Roast was the main reason for going so it was a little disappointing. The Pork was not as good as I would have hoped.
Very very impressed Really good food and fabulous cocktails Special shout out for the mulled wine in the Santa mug
