Nestled within the enchanting Prestonfield House, Rhubarb Restaurant offers a unique dining experience that captivates the senses. Guests are greeted by stunning decor and beautifully landscaped gardens, setting the stage for a memorable meal. The menu impresses with artfully presented dishes, from delectable seafood to the exquisite haunch of red deer. While the service is generally attentive, some diners have noted occasional lapses in detail. Nonetheless, the ambience and commitment to culinary excellence ensure that Rhubarb remains a beloved destination for both special occasions and casual visits, making it a must-try for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience.
Prestonfield is one of those places determined to make an impression on you from the second you arrive at the premises.
Over the top fancy decor and service. Like stepping into another place and time. Great for a special occasion. Lovely quiet grounds just minutes from the City.
I booked this as a special surprise for my wife on our trip to EdinburghI regret it. Most noticeably, service was extremely slow.
Fantastic dining, venue, service, food all first class. A true dining experience.
Rhubarb is our go-to stopping point when visiting the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Set in the gorgeous Prestonfield House, even before you get to the beautifully decorated dining room, you are wandering around the beautifully landscaped gardens. Once inside, there is an a la carte menu of deliciousness, and during the Edinburgh Fringe, they have a three-course table d'hote menu, which never disappoints in terms of choice, value or quality. There are few restaurants we would return to time and time again, but Rhubarb is one we certainly will. Check out the hotel's website for some exciting events coming up very soon and stay for a stunning meal.
