Reviews praise Prezzo’s food, views and value set menu; note variable service, occasional mix-ups and a lively, sometimes noisy atmosphere near the entrance.
Fantastic food, great staff and service, lovely atmosphere and nice location. Shame we're going back home tomorrow and will have to wait til next year to come back
Well, the place is perfect if you don't like crowded restaurants, it is never busy here. The food was ok, a bit spicy for Italian kitchen I must admit. The waiter was really trying, but he just finished him self with silly questions and things that he did. Like bringing jag of water with Ice when he was specifically asked to bring water without Ice. The view is perfect when the whether is right.
We've been coming here for years. The food is good and service consistent. I love the view of the harbour too.
I visited Prezzo during a brief visit to Edinburgh. It looked great in the photos, so I decided to give it a try. When we arrived at the restaurant on time, we had to wait 5 minutes to be greeted as the front of house staff kept disappearing to attend to other customers. We were seated at a small table, even though we had booked a booth online. The atmosphere was loud and we felt ignored, having to get up and go to the bar to request drinks on a couple of occasions. The only positive aspect of our visit was the food, which was delicious and well-prepared. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and had hoped for a better time.

Regulars often single out the pizza and the salmon & king‑prawn risotto as standout dishes—ordering one of those is a safe bet. A named server (Pavel) received special praise from guests, so if you get the same team you might get particularly attentive service. If you want a quieter experience, mention a preference for a booth away from the kitchen when you book.
