Prim was our waitress, she was lovely, very friendly and polite. Our food and drinks were delicious. We will be back, such a little gem off the beaten track.

Once again the food was spicy, tasty, interesting and absolutely delicious. My little beef salad was so tasty. And then there is the Black Tower dessert, I'm lost for words here...sweet, salty, hot, cold, fruity, tropical and just delicious! Yum! This place is a must for spice lovers.

One of the best Thai meals I have had. The Seabass Salad was to die for as was the rest of our meal. Will recommend to friends and family to visit when visiting Edinburgh.

We had a party of 7 as a surprise birthday party at Passorn and really liked the place. The food was extremely well prepared and full of flavour. The staff really attentive and helpful. My wife who celebrated her birthday also really enjoined the place. The only slight gripe I had was that I had arranged for the surprise party that we'd be guided to the table with our friends already waiting there. I had confirmed with the owner minutes before arriving with my wife that one person on the reservation was not sure if they'd arrive on time or would still have to cancel. Yet the moment I walked back into the restaurant the owner who I had just told minutes earlier about the total people attending stopped me and my wife asking to confirm if the reservation was for 7 8 or 9 and this spoiled the final surprise as my wife assumed it was just the two of us up to that point.

More information

Despite its polished, fine-dining presentation, Passorn still attracts home-town regulars seeking authentic Thai heat — but many diners request a higher spice level than dishes arrive with, so asking for an explicit chilli level is a common local workaround.
