We had a wonderful experience with the tasting menu and wine pairing. It exceeded our expectations. Each of the seven courses was exquisite, with the foie gras being a standout highlight. The staff was attentive and friendly, particularly the sommelier and the charming waiter who chatted with us during the cheese course. This was truly one of the best meals we've ever had. Thank you! I had a wonderful dinner last night with my husband. It is one of the finest restaurants in Edinburgh and I must honestly say it is worth paying any money for such a great experience. Everything from the moment we stepped in was spectacular. Elegant décor, very pleasant ambience and the highly skilled, friendly staff made our evening very special and romantic. And above all delightful food. Must try! Honest recommendation.
It certainly a great place to visit with family. I had a great experience on my family dinner this Saturday. The food was beautifully presented and nicely cooked. The ambience, food, attention to detail, staff were appreciable. Everything possible thing was done to ensure we had a meal to remember. Couldn't rate it highly enough! This was for sure the best restaurant which we have been in my life and I would definitely go back.
Delightful, the service, the ambiance, the food and the wine list add to make this an unforgetable experience
#91 on the list? Should be in top 10. Don't usually enjoy hotel restaurants usually overpriced and underperforming. NOT NUMBER ONE. What a great restaurant. The service was impeccable. The best service we had during a recent week's visit to Edinburgh. The food was glorious fine French/Scottish fare. Beautifully prepared and presented. Everything we ate was first class. The wine list was okay expensive (it is in a hotel) but not overly expansive. Ambiance? Lovely. If you're in town visit Number One.
