The restaurant offers a variety of vegan options, although some dishes may be a little dry and bland. The atmosphere is pleasant, with friendly staff. Customers recommend trying different dishes on the menu. The outdoor seating area is a hidden gem, providing a cozy atmosphere with blankets and great drinks. The three-course lunch menu offers good value for money with excellent service. The food, especially the fish and chips, is delicious with a smoky flavor. The cocktails are well-made, and the overall dining experience is highly recommended. The restaurant has a modern decor and a diverse food and drinks menu. Despite some issues with temperature control in the outdoor seating area, it remains a popular spot for drinks and gatherings. Overall, the restaurant provides good food, atmosphere, and service, making it a great choice for private events and special occasions.
It was great to see that there were vegan options available, but unfortunately, the burger I tried was a bit dry and flavorless. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I would consider revisiting, but would try a different dish next time.
Loving Indigo Yard! At first I actually thought it was an extension to the back of Pizza Express...I know, I am blonde after all. I like the atmosphere. It sort of feels relaxed and cool, and makes you feel relaxed and cool at the same time. The crowd is a bit of a mixture, from young uns to students to the more mature customer to couples, it has something for everyone. As well as being a bar, it's also a restaurant, so you can have a little nibble with your Pinot Grigio. It isn't the cheapest place to drink though, a cocktail setting you back around £7-9, which means you could have a couple here then move onto somewhere a bit cheaper on a night out! I recommend the Preston's Fizz, a new concoction I had never heard of before. It was a delicious mix of chambord, vodka and fresh raspberries over ice with some fizz to top it off. Yum! A really funky bar!
The tucked away atmosphere of this wee place was wonderful. Inside, the mezzanine and old stone give it a light and open feel even though we were in at night when it was raining. We only had drinks, although people had eaten there on other occassions and spoke highly of the meals (and when boys wax lyrical about steak, you know it's worth going back for! . Drinks were pleasant and it just felt like a really chilled out environment, even when a group of suits seemed to form an impenetrable wall to the bar. (They parted like the red sea when a very attractive young woman made her way to the bar! Eventually, the music did become a bit too loud to be able to have a conversation without shouting but this could have been where we were sitting the accoustics in the very open main bar area are no doubt not as kind as the other areas of the restaurant. There was something about the courtyard, though, that just had the right atmosphere and the couches outside are a great idea. Full points for the design aspects! A little on the pricey side but in keeping with many of the places in the same area and with a variety of beers on tap that aren't the usual suspects.
Great experience here today for lunch! Went on a Sunday and no wait, not busy at all. Super friendly server. Cocktails were great and food good as well! Would definitely go to again maybe just for drinks though. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Ok so the one star is for attention purposes I’m afraid. I usually love I.Y (it’s a go to usually for drinks and food! and usually no complaints however today I ordered the GF cheese burger what I got was the burger (and poorly put together simply slapped in between two dry slices of bread. This is incredibly lazy and poor quality in comparison to other places that offer GF burgers. It isn’t hard surely to have some form of actual GF burger buns!! I have them at home all the time. I should have said something but our server was so lovely I just didn’t appreciate still being charged the full price for something that was somewhat ridiculous. While it’s great that I.Y have a dedicated allergens menu PLEASE do better than this. Just because someone is GF doesn’t mean they have to receive less than. Moaning aside the service was excellent we were seated upstairs and the atmosphere was great as always. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
