This cozy spot is the closest to home, making it convenient for me to grab breakfast, even with my sleep habits. I've only tried their custom chicken and mayo sandwich with salad and pickles, but it was so delicious that I never felt the need to order anything else. Good cinnamon buns, a tad too sweet for me but incredibly soft and airy. Good prices and friendly service. At the moment of writing, no seating (but there are benches on the other side of the road in front of the hotel).
Astoundingly good breakfast roll, filled me up for the day.
Passing by the fabulous sight of the biscoff and cinnamon buns in the window stopped me in my steps. Bought one of each and ate them down in grassmarket in the sun. Both fantastic and enormous!! I will be going to go back for more
Absolutely love Hanks Sandwich bar! Once I discovered them they became my go-to regular for lunch. A varied selection of sandwiches and paninis at reasonable prices. Best of all, the quality of food is fantastic. Everything Ive got from them has made me really happy.
