Reviews - Foundry 39
Reviews summary
Foundry 39 is praised for its warm, convivial atmosphere and polished service. Guests regularly highlight friendly, attentive staff, a modern industrial interior with comfortable seating, and standout cocktails — including theatrical smoked-cloche presentations — alongside a menu of burgers, pizzas, salads and small plates. The venue works well for everything from weekday dinners and brunch to group gatherings and wedding welcome parties, and many reviewers note good value deals and dog-friendly hospitality. A minority of visits flagged problems: an isolated undercooked chicken incident and occasional unexplained extras on bills, so most diners recommend checking orders and receipts, but overall the place earns consistent applause for food, drinks and vibe.

Edinburgh has a number of newish burger and/or pizza places & Foundry 39 is amongst the youngest of those. I visited it last Friday night with two friends
Beautiful place to eat amddrink, staff very friendly and welcoming. they would recommend it foundry 39! I had the sweet and smokey burger with delicious juniper bloom coctail, it was amazing. I will be back
We fell in a Wednesday early evening for a fast drink £3 for various pints as mentioned above) but stayed a bit longer than though the quiz had already begun, we do like a quiz! Maybe it could start to cover for those who work after 5?
What I had expected at all, I thought it would be more bar with a very cool hipster variety, where in fact its more restaurant with a fairly industrial feeling of exposed bricks, copper, metal and wood with a blend of soft display hard seating. it has a very open feeling about it and although not hipster it is modern. we went in a big group just after working on a week night and the place was 't busy, although at the time we left, it was slowly filling. our waiter was very pleasant and very patient with us when we ordered food and cocktails. many of our articles consisted of burgers, and I chose the burger without buns (on my low calorie dining plan) and I was pleased to see that it served on a large salad leaf to act as my bun. the menu includes various burgers, pizzas and salads with sides. they also make breakfast, brunch and lunch. the cocktails range from the boo ya cachaca to the old fashioned to a very interesting smoked cherry manhattan, which is delivered in a smoke-filled clos to their table. eating is good. the cocktails are fab. a beautiful wine bar/restaurant in the west end.

I always feel very warmly welcomed at this restaurant. We had made a reservation in advance and were seated at a lovely comfortable table. The food was delicious, especially the small sharing plates. We also enjoyed a couple of really good cocktails at a very reasonable price. We definitely hope to return again soon and appreciate that F39 is dog-friendly.
Fantastic place ! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. The pub had a rustic charm that added to the overall ambiance. Friendly staff and a great selection of drinks. The food was delicious. Highly recommend for a great evening! Maciej made sure everything was fine. I feel well served 10/10 !
The food and drinks are delicious, and the ambiance is lovely. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Unfortunately, we were surprised to find extra charges on our bill, totaling more than 15% of the total amount, without any explanation given.
Our wedding welcome party at Foundry 39 was absolutely fantastic! The beautiful venue, delicious food and drinks, all contributed to an unforgettable experience. Lewis’s excellent communication and friendliness made the booking process seamless even from oversea. Tyler, Jen, and Nick took great care of our big group! The pub quiz added extra fun, and the compliments from our guests were endless. Foundry 39 left us with a fantastic impression, and we’re incredibly grateful for hosting our special celebration. Many thanks to the outstanding team!
