I had high hopes when visiting DD but it sadly didn't live up to the hype. I ordered the Canadian stack which consisted of waffles, bacon, egg, chicken and a hash brown. The hash brown was cooked perfectly and it may have been the best hash brown I have ever eaten. Amazing gf fried chicken and waffles! They use a separate fryer and waffle iron, but a shared griddle. To avoid any cross contamination I removed bacon and eggs from the order. Staff were very helpful and switched on :

I've tried DD's in 3 places now and it's been good every time. The menu changes frequently as does the location though the vibe of the cafe in Marchmont is great for brunch. The fried chicken is nice and crispy and a real treat if avoiding gluten (and also if not! . I highly recommend the Korean waffle if it's available (pictured at the Bellfield gf brewery popup . Very interesting flavours and not something you see everyday even with gluten. They even sometimes have guest pop-ups themselves in Marchmont which is a brilliant idea.
