Insipido! did they know that this restaurant is not owned or managed by Italians?! there are no Italian cooks. no Italian waiter. eating is so dirty, the new menu seems to be chili on everything. no traditional Italian dishes at all. no taste for eating! where is the Italian authenticity? linguine all bygole the calamari could have been thrown off from the floor. zero taste on the over boiled pasta, no spice what ever. does not believe that garlic was used pennette con pomodorini served as a dog dinner. no taste, the pasta was over boiled and there was no taste of basil etc. I politely asked the waiter when the cook was Italian to say...read more
Great Italian wonderful eating, served by very friendly and efficient staff, set in a subtle and comfortable interieur. amarone cannot fail at any level.
The restaurant has a great decor and ambiente, eating is good, I have the mushroom flat cake that was delicious, but the margarita seemed brushed and cut. the staff seemed to forget a few orders and had to be reminded, but they noticed and gave us 10% because it was a good experience overall.
My wife I had a Wonderfull meal at Amarone Edinburgh on Friday evening ,the food Wine was fantastic ' A must try is the CAPESANTE CON TAGLIOLINI Its so delightfull ,The restaurant has Great ambience the service from ioan was excellent, Nothing but praise on the total experience, Thank you all
I have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it very much so chose it for my birthday meal. Big mistake. The waiter on the door was less than welcoming. Said he had only one table left (17.30 which was at the door! We requested one away from the door. The restaurant was empty. He later took in five couples (all said they had no booking but all managed to get tables away from the draughty door. What happened to our table was the only one they had left? We both ordered lasagne. The portion size was quite big but sadly the majority of it was sent back. It was quite honestly the worst I have ever had. However, this went unnoticed by the waitress or manager and the bill came. A discretionary service charge was on the bill without our request. We asked not to pay the service charge and when we pointed out how poor the food was they took £4 off the price of the meal. The waitress said she had also taken off the the service charge and gave us the new bill which we paid. Suffice to say it will be a long time before we will go back. Such a pity for this used to be a nice restaurant.
