What User doesn't like about The Hideout Cafe:
A group of us with children arrived this afternoon near to closing time and from the start we felt like we where not welcome. The service was poor, the staff where more concerned with closing and chatting than serving us and made it clear that that was how they felt towards our custom. Seriously disappointing as i’d been in before and enjoyed it. Not sure if it was the fact we had children in our group or that they w... View all feedback. What User likes about The Hideout Cafe:
Went for something to eat but was too late as they stopped serving food at o'clock. Instead had latte and a moccachino and a big piece of carrot cake was so good. Nick was friendly and chatty. Will go back next time for something to eat. Highly recommend!! View all feedback.

Located in a beautifully restored building on Constitution Road in Leith, this charming café exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Family-friendly and offering comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, and great coffee, it is an ideal spot for a casual lunch or gathering. While the service might be a bit slow during peak times, the delicious food, including grilled halloumi sandwiches and a variety of cakes, make it worth the wait. Whether enjoying a cup of tea or indulging in their renowned hot chocolate, this café is a must-visit while in Edinburgh. A true hidden gem with a cozy and inviting ambiance.
This place is most certainly open, we had a great coffee, the staff are multilingual and very funny, great banter and lovely coffee, would highly recommend.
What an excellent find. A lovely little cafe just off the Royal Mile. The coffee is really good but the best bit was the honey cake, a must try!
Literally 2 steps away from the castle and yet not in a noisy busy Main Street This little gem is definitely worth the detour Very good atmosphere inside
