Down here from Perthshire clearing my late mother in law’s house. Random pick after hard day’s work. A Tuesday night and completely rammed. Two front of house guys who worked so hard. Back room must have been hard at it too because the food was so good. Gamberetti Thermidor was wonderful as was the spinach to go with it. As was the house white although no idea what it was. And then a complimentary Limoncello cream at the end. Seriously? Who needs Michelin stars. Thanks for a lovely evening. We’ll be back.

Highly recommend this restaurant. We came here after a long day and it was just perfect. The cosy relaxed atmosphere and lovely service made it such an enjoyable evening and the food and house red wine was delicious! We just wish we lived closer and will be definitely revisiting when back in Scotland! Thank You Papilio <3

We visited this restaurant about a year ago and were pleased to find that the quality of food and service has remained consistently excellent. The prices are reasonable compared to other Italian restaurants. The fact that many local residents dine here indicates that they are doing everything right.

Everything was perfect. The atmosphere was cozy and lively, the service was prompt, and we appreciated the detailed descriptions of the special dishes that helped us make our selections from a diverse menu. We typically enjoy one course and a bottle of wine, and we found the house white (Trebbiano) to be just right. The food was delicious, especially the recommended Tagliatelle Papilio - creamy, spicy, and perfectly cooked. The mixed fish dish of monkfish, sea bass, and scallops was crispy and fresh, served with carrots and tender stem broccoli. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!

Papillio remains a fantastic dining destination. Whenever our family visits, we always choose to dine here and are consistently satisfied. The service staff continues to provide excellent service.
