What User doesn't like about Hay Sushi:
I recently dined at Hay...???/Sushi and found that the sushi rice was overly sweet for my taste. While I enjoyed the nigiri and sashimi, I didn't particularly care for the rolls. Overall, my dining experience was average and I would consider returning if the restaurant was closer to me. This is one of the best sushi restaurants in Edinburgh, but it's definitely better to dine in rather than get takeout. They offer many unique dishes you wouldn't typically find at a sushi restaurant, such as the salmon and wasabi layers. The takeaway experience can be hit or miss, so I wouldn't recommend ordering hot dishes like gyozas as they may not be as good as when dining in.
Definitiw recommand hay sushi. I have brought my man and my 2 year old daughter to get sushi in heumarkt for our jubilee dinner on Friday last week. it was a great dinning experience, it offers a great selection of sushi, the texture of sushi are very beautiful, raw fish is fresh. it has to try out if they are a true janpenese lover.
Best Japanese in Edinburgh!. I went to Hay Sushi on the recommendation of a friend and I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was so fresh and appetising and great value for money especially the bento boxes for less than 10 and free miso soup! I will be going back on a regualr basis to try out the rest of their menu!
Tasty food. Good delivery service. The sea weed portions were extremely generous and felt fresh. However the tempura was pretty poor and mostly just batter without any vegetables in it. Sashimi could have tasted fresher if one wants to be picky. However the maki rolls were good and of high standard. Good for a nice evening in but there is definitely better sushi out there !

Their Ocean Roll and Dragon Roll were exceptional, not to mention their seafood specialty dishes that are to die for! The decor was stylish and created a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere. The staff was attentive and helpful without being overbearing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Hay Sushi and highly recommend it.
