While some diners lamented overcooked starters and tiny portions, others praised the authenticity and flavor of dishes like Szechuan Duck and prawn in black bean sauce. Service is noted as efficient and welcoming, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. For takeout, the yangchow fried rice and spicy wings were highlights, though portion sizes vary. Despite its modest decor, the culinary experience has left many eager to return, making it a noteworthy stop for both locals and visitors in search of authentic flavors.
I only booked here because all the good Chinese restaurants in Edinburgh are either permanently closed or not open on Mondays. I did enjoy the food and the prices were decent, but the toilets were RIGHT NEXT TO THE KITCHEN as well as being cramped and not very clean. There was no cozy ambience to the place at all, and the staff had no warmth or cheer to them either, dressed in casual clothes instead of a waiter uniform. If they got any livelier a funeral was going to break out. My dinner here was not unenjoyable, but there's no reason to go back and it sure ain't a new favorite.
The food was amazing and the service was excellent.
We were looking for an evening dinner after edinburgh late in the night when we discovered the place near haymarket station. Communication was kind of difficult, as the personal was not very well versed with English, but could place the order by showing the article to the menu. the place looks clogged, but beautifully done keep oriental thema in the head. / so here goes the orderbr chicken with spicy salt chilli: good dry chicken with salt and chili, is very good as the starters.
They searched for a takeaway in the opposite and found this in zomato. it is just a walk from the hotel. I ordered the yangchow fried rice, salty spicy wings and crabs and sweet maiss soup. Eat was great! the rice can be good, depending on how your partner eats. but for me it's all mine!
