Had a very nice evening at Salut. We had reservations for 7 and were greeted promptly and seated in a nice booth. We were brought water right away. Service was very good other than main dishes came out when we were not yet done with the first course. Highly recommend the baguette and butter- it was delicious. The mussels were tasty but small. What User doesn't like about Salut Americain:
Went for lunch it was a terrible experience for the money. Half our tables food showed up when the other half was already done eating....and it was “Salads” we were waiting on. My daughter's meal was trash, they didn't even get my son's original order correct and delivered the rest of his meal after he was already finished. My”Salad” wasn't correct and the “tuna” wasn't “Seared ahi rare tuna”....it was bordering well... View all feedback.
We were celebrating a birthday and it was Bastille Day! How fun to reminisce about celebrating Bastille Day in Paris while enjoying a few French treats. We had several menus to pick from. Sunday Happy Hour Specials, Sunday Dinner menu and Special Items for Bastille Day. Our party of 7(which included a toddler) was very well taken care of. The wine selection was very nice and affordable. We ordered a variety of items and everything was good except for the melon for the Prosciutto and Melon. Although, this was maybe a little more Italian but could maybe typical of Nice? the melon was disappointedly hard and flavorless. Our server Rebecca, the bartender was a joy! Becky the hostess was also amazing. Keeping everything smooth and under control during a very busy time. We wish we lived in the neighborhood so we could come to this little gem more often.

Chocolate raspberry cake and profiteroles were both great for dessert.

You would think a $200 lunch for four people would be better. Never going back.
We have been frequent customers at Salut since it opened. We loved the food and ambience and the service was great professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The last few years, however, Salut has gone downhill, dramatically. It has seemed like
We had five for Mother’s Day Brunch 2024. We were disappointed. $300. It was a fixed menu, and only two items were French. We had shrimp cocktail for an appetizer- one shrimp each! The only beef offered was prime rib. The dessert consisted of two items, meant to be shared by 5 people. Service was rushed. They gave us tacky corsages- plastic (probably from the dollar store). The food was mediocre tasting. I won’t go there again.
