Description

Nestled in the heart of Penrith, this restaurant delivers a blend of experiences. While many patrons rave about the generous portions and well-prepared dishes, such as the cooked breakfasts and omelets, others express dissatisfaction with inconsistent food quality and preparation. Visitors have noted that the service is generally prompt and polite, although some lament the value for price, suggesting better alternatives nearby. The wide-ranging menu caters to diverse tastes, making it a reliable stop for families, yet opinions on freshness and flavor vary widely. Overall, it’s a place worth considering with cautious optimism.

The restaurant has a friendly staff who speak English, a large menu, and is open on Sundays unlike most places in Penrith. The food is not fancy but reasonably priced and good quality, with great breakfast options available. Well done to the restaurant for being open on Sundays.

This cafe has an outdoor covered seating area, but they also allow dogs inside. It doesn't matter how good or bad the food is if you are seated next to a large, wet, smelly dog that pants and has bad breath. It was a very unpleasant experience and I will not be returning. I cannot comprehend why the owners permit dogs inside when they have a covered outdoor area. If someone were to contract a tick from a dog, they would surely understand the consequences.

We were staying the weekend and wanted something to eat on a Sunday. Not many places seemed open and luckily we stumbled across New Market Cafe. The food was delicious. Very quickly served by lovely friendly staff. We enjoyed it that much we returned the following day and ordered 2 different meals off the menu. Can definitely recommend eating here. It seemed a lot of regulars visited which is always a great sign. Gorgeous food, lovely staff, clean and friendly. Thank you
