We enjoyed delicious meals and had a wonderful experience with most of the staff, although one waitress was an exception. It's unfortunate how one person's attitude can affect the overall experience. Fortunately, the evening ended on a high note thanks to an outstanding male staff member who went above and beyond to help us secure a cab back to our motel. A huge thank you to him! What Anonym dislikes about Echuca Hotel:
Lovely friendly staff but awful food. There was a mix up with our meals so that only one meal was cooked. The manager was quick to come and apologise and offer my husband another beer on the house. Really nice. My lambs fry and bacon was drowned in gravy... Hard to tell what was what. My lambs fry was red and mushy. Just revolting. The motel offers modern, well-equipped, and clean rooms located next to the Campese River. The rooms are situated behind the hotel on the main street, making it an easy walk to Echuca Port and other attractions in the city. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this accommodation.
I ordered two lunch specials, both priced over $30. I opted for the Stuffed Calamari with Mexican rice and Chili Marmelade. Unfortunately, the calamari was rubbery, the rice tasted bland and was sticky, and the chili jam had no flavor at all. I called the waiter to explain my disappointment, but he took my meal away without offering any alternatives. I ended up watching my partner eat while I remained hungry. The service was poor and we left without receiving a refund. I do not recommend this restaurant.
I can't say enough to recommend this public house. The service and kindness of the staff are not good. Staff are as attentive as an early manager in hospitality is refreshing to have such a great service. Food fresh, delicious and good value. Clean and well maintained. Make yourself a favor and call for a drink or a meal.
Calamari was soaked in oil, chips were cold and my partners steamed vegs were cold and pork crackle was cold. Prices were very high. 3 stars is generous. Staff were very friendly and 5 star.
Had a fairly decent meal although served on cold plates so veg was cold. Steak was great. The waitress behind the bar even though the place was just about empty was extremely rude. I asked if wine was served by the glass she brushed me...off said look at the menu. We then ordered our drinks and food. I will never go back we are in Echuca every month and don’t need to be treated with contempt and rudeness from a threatening looking waitress. She would be suited better off in a wrestling ring
